Babcock SM-810-002 Display. Gas Discharge Digital Readout Display System Simple Type: Display
The SM-810-002 is a 5 x 7 dot matrix, gas discharge display system with 20 characters. This display system requires a single 5 Volt supply, and each system is controlled by an integral microcomputer. The resident program in the microcomputer contains instructions which implement: the display refresh, an eight-bit parallel interface, generation of the 98-character set, control codes, and functional features of the display system. The electrical interface is accomplished with 16 lines: 8 data bus lines, 6 control lines, and 2 power lines. Character data and control words/codes are entered into the system on the bidirectional data bus. System status information (busy or read) is read out of the system on the same data bus.
